Our Consulting Department at McNeil Engineering recently completed an exceptional project, the Municipal Elementary School Re-Roof, in collaboration with the Weber School District. With the help of our team’s extensive experience and commitment to excellence, we were able to meet the unique challenges of the project with confidence and precision.
In order to create a solid foundation for the new single-ply roofing system, we meticulously removed all existing roofing materials down to the insulation and wood decking, ensuring a thorough approach from the outset. In addition to promoting environmental responsibility, we recycled existing metal flashing and counterflashing.
In response to the Weber School District team’s specific concerns, we installed an 80 mil PVC roof fully adhered to 1/2″ coverboard in accordance with our stringent specifications. By creating new crickets behind mechanical units, curbs, and chimneys with tapered insulation, we ensured efficient drainage and kept water from pooling.
The Municipal Elementary School Re-Roof project stands as a testament to our collaborative and detail-oriented approach. Our goal is to provide solutions that not only meet industry standards, but also cater to our clients’ unique needs. A durable, reliable, and sustainable roofing system provides the school with long-term protection. As part of our commitment to excellence, we look forward to delivering exceptional results in the future!
